In “Changing Form But Not Essence,” Sacred Oak evoke shortwave radio, electrical activity, heavy industry, and plate tectonics. Listen for the ghosts.
Sacred Oak continue to explore inharmonicity, frequency interference and psychoacoustic effects in this intense spectral DRONE. There is a tremendous amount of sonic activity to be heard throughout this piece, despite its lack of apparent harmonic movement and relatively minor dynamic changes.
This heavy DRONE reveals a new surprise on every listen.
“Changing Form But Not Essence,” is solely sustained guitars, a bit of reverb, and great heaps of distortion. The guitars were originally recorded in March of 2020.
ALL ONE. Play LOUD.

The more we listen, the more we love it. Soulful hill-country blues with seamless shifts to blast beats and back. So heavy it took a couple weeks to realize the guitars are barely crunched. Get it! Sacred Oak
